Claude McKenzie and Florent Vollant. Singing in their
Native language Innu,
which is spoken by only 12,000* people mostly in Northern
Quebec, Kashtin
successfully toured North America and Europe and released three
albums
between 1989 and 1994 (Kashtin, Innu, Akua Tuta). Their
music, a mix of rock,
folk, country and cajun style, has been used for the soundtrack
of the movie
"Dance Me Outside", in the series "Due
South" and in several documentaries. |
