If one needs to descibe this "special" shape, an intuitive designation would be Northern Light Beam. "Northern Light" and "Light Beam" = NLB!

There
are a few fuzzy names of some certain Northern Light´s apperances. E.g. "Proton
Arc", "Steve". These names are not useful/valid because there is no
distinct point when the shape changes from an ordinary to this special category (!?) of
apperance. Shapes of the light are abound. It is an arbitrary concept that discloses
nothing. Also, the "Proton Arc" has no scientific support. If one needs to descibe this "special" shape, an intuitive designation would be Northern Light Beam. "Northern Light" and "Light Beam" = NLB! Eureka! |
