The Coker Family was an American country band whose members came from the Al Coker family.
Career
Al Coker was born Alvis Coker in Conway, Arkansas , but moved to Bakersfield, California in 1937. There he married Geraldine Coker, with whom he had a daughter Alvadean Cocker (* 1938) and a son "Sandy" Alvis jr. (* 1940) had. Son Alvis won a fiddle competition in the early 1950s, and a year later he was accompanied by his father and sister during his performances.
