Bente Lind (born 1948 in Arendal) is a Norwegian singer, with childhood and school year in Arendal. She then lived for a while in Finland and was discovered at a talent competition at Park Hotell in Moss in the fall of 1964. With the orchestra The Lunicks (formerly The Upstarts) she was invited to record records for MANU records in Oslo, by Director Per Gunnar Jensen in the duo Bjørg and Per Gunnar.    Her debut album was hosted by Thor G. Norås, who also wrote all her recordings for MANU. The debut album Goodbye Jimmy, goodbye, was a homage to Jim Reeves, who had recently died in a plane crash where he himself led the plane. This album was immediately a big butcher in all of Scandinavia and with her background it was also released in Finland. In Finnish, "You can not hurt me" titled "Yksinen oon" ("I'm alone") because it opens with the words: "So now I'm alone again, you can not hurt me". In the United States the album was released on the Ville Records. It also exists in a collection like called Girls in Garage Band. Together with their orchestra, The Lunicks and Nina & Patzy, The Dandy Girls, Sully Ann (Gunn Støa), Toril Støa, Green Onions, Roy Scott, Jørn Are and others, they made a major contribution to the two Norwegian rock films, Equilibrium [1] and Brother Gabrielsen. Bente Lind was on "Ti i Skuddet" 1965 as the first Norwegian artist with the song «Goodbye Jimmy, goodbye». She peaked at Norskeoppen in 1982 for eight weeks with "Will You Follow Me", which became the year's most popular record at Norskeoppen that year. She was also one of the participants in the Melodi Grand Prix 1990, where she joined a sixth place with the song "Ciao Amore". Bente Lind has been called Norwegian Queen Queen, and she has also sung a lot of country music. She has performed on Canadian TV with country and had other TV shows, both in Norway and Sweden, including in Hylands Hörna. She has also participated in numerous collectibles, several of which have been sold to gold and other trophies. Apart from "Will you follow me" and "Goodbye, Jimmy, goodbye" is "Comment ca va", "Driver dugg, faller region" and  a lyser en sol" other tunes associated with Bente Lind. She is portrayed in No. 26 of the American Rock Magazine Ugly-Things.
