Mac Bouvrie (MAC Records) said of him in an interview:

"When Burt Allis came to me with his own work I decided that in the future I would only publish original songs and so far I still managed to do so.   "He's really amazing! He must have hundreds of songs written by himself, all in the '50s model. Naturally some songs are not all good, but it's still amazing how Burt "pops up" these songs. All Burt disks are released as "Burt Allis and the Diggers "but in fact it's all the same person. This guy plays the guitar, piano, drums, bass and bass, he's really amazing! The first LP of Burt was also published on RCA in Germany and the United States Polydor offered to Burt a contract if he was willing to record the German-language ballads. Burt kindly refused. As me, all he wants is rock n 'roll'!
