Brief Description

Snow Bros gameplayThe masters of Shoot'em-up games comes up with a Bubble Bobble inspired platform game, disastrous?

The game is quite fun to play, even if it is very different from the rest of the Toaplan games. Don't mistake it with the sequel, Snow Bros 2, which is a total disaster! This game is all about covering enemies with snow and push them to destruction. The end result is quite good considering the limited graphics hardware which only features 16x16 sprites and no layers.

What you do is basically throw small snowballs on enemies until they become big snowballs and push these snowballs to destroy them. If you push a snowball over another enemy you get a pickup, usually a score but sometimes speed-up, long shot and power shot. You might also get a balloon pickup that allows you to clear the current level easily. The game allows for 2 player simultaneous play.

The music was composed by Osamu Ohta

The game was converted to SEGA Genesis. The result is identical to the arcade game.
