Saturday
G-27
Saturday started with semis in G-27 and G-7.
G-27 saw a return by Mia Ekman doing a good race. She
has not raced a wing-car for years but does some scale
racing with success.
Esa Pekka who nearly missed the main drove a much
better race in the main and won ahead of Anders Bengtsson
who came back after a few years absence due to military
service and studies.
Pekka Sippolas son, Juho, drove to a third place.

G-7
In G-7 the main consisted of four drivers from Finland
and four drivers from Sweden.
Three Swede's took off in the first heat. Anders
Gustafson leading on 121 followed by the G-7 WU and G-7
one motor race winner, Stefan Törnfeldt 120 and Lasse Åberg
119 laps.
In the second heat Lasse took the lead a lead he held
onto until the end.
Juha Yli-Sipola, who started on lane 8 (red lane!) had
three good heats on lanes 6, 4 and 2 and moved up to
second place.
Lane 1 (black), Juhas fourth heat, was the tough lane
and Juha drove 100 laps, which did not look good, first.
In the end it turned out to be the second best result
done on that lane during the main.
There was a mixture of well working cars and some that
was really ill handling.
If Mönsterås is a track for aluminum cars or not may be
to early to say but it did not look good in some cases.
It could probably be so that reverting back to steel cars
would produce a "cleaner" race but not
necessarily a faster one.
2:nd place Juha Yli-Sipola, winner Lasse Åberg and 3:rd
place Anders Gustafson.
Koford Locknevi 7 "old fashion" body on a
Koford "Beuf" Express aluminum chassi.
Kof. 6-mag setup. Kof. 84,5 arm.
The race ended on Saturday but not the story.
To be continued soon at a theater near your.
