SSC kvällsrace 19:th of November.

 

Monday evening was the time for a Saloon race again.

Qualifying

P.J started the qualifying with a 4,796. Jörgen Andersson took a return to slotracing borrowing a car from Mats (?) and did a really good 4,659. Richard Lundh topped that with a 4,454.

When Marcus Hammenstad qualified his car did not perform the same way, in the same manner, as it use to do. He did 4,509.

Mikael Eskilssons qualifying was impressive. His first lap was a low 4,4 and finally he did a 4,402.

Marcus was impressed and somewhat puzzled. When he took a look at his motor and checked if it had gone hot he found out that it was ice-cold!
He had qualified with someone else car! A car with the same type of body and paint.

The qualifying went on but no one could beat Mikael E. so he went directly into the main.

Semi B

First two and then one with the best laps was the people moving up.

Marcus took an early lead, which he held on to. Jörgen Andersson, P.J. and Micke Sundgren had a close fight behind until Micke got a broken gear.
One of the new members Torgny drove a good race. Lucas had problems early on with his car.

Semi A

Mats Hummel grabbed an early lead and as with Marcus in Semi-B Mats was able to keep and extend that lead. Behind him Richard Lundh drove in a lonely second place with Anders Latterman in a lonely third. Kenta Jansson and another newcomer to the Club, Lasse.. battled.
Juha Honkanens crashed early into deadman and was newer in the contention again

Mats looked to set to win when he lost a gear and with that lost both the first place and second and looked to also lose a place in the main. Latterman, who was now second then, lost a tire and a place in the main.

Main

The pace in the main was much higher than in the semifinals. But crashes were also harder.

Mats Hummel took an early lead and stretched to win within only two laps from the lap record on the track. Behind him was a close battle were places changed by the minute. Crashes often meant losing one lap or two. No one was ever left "alone" There were always a guy within striking distance for everyone except for the hunt for first place, which Mats dominated.
