SSC kvällsrace 17:th of December 2001.

Monday evening was the time for a Saloon race again.

A new record for evening races was seen. 17 entries!

Qualifying

Mats Hummel glued the track well which was seen during the qualifying.

Rickard Lundh was first out and recorded 4,440 and 4,445.

Mikael Eskilssons first lap was a 4,568 but then something happend with the car so that's were he stayed.

Lasse Åberg turned several low 4.2:s and then a 4.190. Top qualifier and a new lap record.

Mats Hummel drove a 4,569.

Juha Honkanen was the second from the last to qualify and he turned 4,400 and was satisfied with that.

These five went to the first of three semis.

Semi C

Good racing. Two rather new and young drivers raced and did it well.

Micke Sundgren took the win 133.

2:nd Lars Johansson 120, Kim Mortensen 114, "Lunkan" 88, Jens 87 (second race) and Fredrik (first race) 69.

Semi B

The semis was close. Kenth Jansson won 137 laps ahead of Jörgen "slotcar" Andersson 136.

3:rd Anders Latterman 130, Niclas 128, Torgny 127 and P.J with a bent car 100.

Semi A

The pole sitter Lasse Åberg won his semi 154 ahead of Mikael Eskilsson 147, Mats Hummel 147, Rickard Lundh 144 and Juha Honkanen 127.

Main B

Niclas took the lead but then, from the second heat and on, Lars Johansson had the lead and won using a Parma Flexi and a "out of the bag" Parma Super 16-D motor.

Main A

Lasse and Mikael from heat two but not from the start where they both went together into crashes.

The race was not so clean as was expected. Lasse seemed to have it under control but in a crash under the bridge the one of the braids was cut and with Mikael so close there were no room for errors.

So, once again, Mikael Eskilsson takes home the win. The price? Race director/in charge for the first race next year.
