Lasse's slotpage
SSC Kvällsrace Monday, 28:th of October.
A record field of 25 drivers turned up thanks to visitors from the
Västerås track who drove down during the afternoon. The race with 16-D engines
compared to SSC's Grp12 so they had some handicap.
With 25 drivers, and some spectators, the place was crowded.
Drivers and spectators before qualifying.
In qualifying Lasse Åberg got the best laps which is not a normal
thing. He improved his own best time from before with over 2/10 of a second.

Main B
In the B Main Leif Boman and Nicke Lindblom took an early lead
while Torbjörn Lundkvist had some problem early on. From the second heat
and until the end Nicke held the lead while Leif was chasing. Lunkvist charged
hard from last place and almost cached second place but Anders Lattermann
was able to hold on to his third place.
Peter Malmberg had to retire as well as P-J.
Check out the total laps and compare to the A Main and you realize
that this bunch was quite fast and could have caused a stir in the A main.
1.Niclas Lindblom 235.20
2.Leif Boman 227.00
3.Anders Lattermann 224.20
4.Torbjörn Lundkvist 222.30
5.Peter Malmberg 161.00
6.Per Julius Kronberg 51.00
The A main started with Team Spings Rickard Lundh taking an early lead
in front of Lasse and Marcus. In the second heat, while he was in the lead,
Marcus came on the wrong lane and smashed his car. Rickard was leading in
front of Micke Eskilsson and Lars Åberg.
In the third Lasse had a gear which sounded everything but fine and had to
pull out the brakes and nurse the car do the end of the head. Micke E. ran
into problems. Rickard kept the lead with Lasse in second place. The second
"Sping" racer Olle was driving a good race and was moving up the ladder.
The fourth heat started with a battle between Rickard and Lasse. Eventually
Lasse was able to catch and pass Rickard. Olle kept his third place.
In the last two heats all drivers were able to defend their places.
