SSC Top Ten Qualifier 8:th of June.

Despite the good weather, 25 degrees Celsius and a Saturday eleven drivers showed up for the qualifying race to the race in autumn where we will invite drivers from other clubs in Sweden.
We are limiting the amount of drivers from our club that can participate.

The qualifying was fast with Rickard setting a new record beating Kenths old 4,101.
Torbjörn Lundkvist had raised some prizes and the TQ price was free entrance to a drag-racing series.

Quarters

As said before, it is now obvious that it's needed approx. 146-147 laps to reach the Main A.
Anders Lattermann drove 145.80 which was close but not good enough. The last one to Main A, Torbjörn Lundkvist drove 146.20.

Main B

Leif Boman won the B-main. Anders Lattermann drove a good race but suffered a gear failure after a solder joint had broken. Jens retired will an ill handling car after some crashes.

Main A

In the main Lasse on red started well but Rickard and Mats cached him before the end to make everything even. Kenth Jansson had a quick car and did very fast times during the heats.

After half the main it was still very close.
Marcus was in the lead with 117 laps followed by Mats and Lasse on 115. Kenth 114, Rickard 113 and Torbjörn 110.

If it was close after three heats it was even closer after four heats.
Marcus was still in the lead 157 laps. Behind him there were three drivers on 155 laps, Mats, Rickard and Lasse.
Kenth had lost some ground, 151 and was now chased by Torbjörn on 149 laps.

In the fifth heat those driver drivers that chased Marcus gained one lap on him.
Marcus 196. Mats, Rickard and Lasse 195. Kenth 189 and Torbjörn 187.

It was now looking to be a tense last heat.

Rickard were on red and Mats on yellow. Both lines are very good today but for a last head with a lot of tension this was bound to be to tough.

The heat started. Marcus had about a half lap in the lead. Lasse had about the same pace and they both passed Rickard and Mats who both had very good speed. Mats, on yellow, drove about the same speed as Marcus and Lasse but on a tougher lane he fell out too much.

When it was about a minute to go Lasse hit Rickards car after he did a mistake in the finger and now Marcus and almost one lap lead. Shortly after that Marcus crashed in the donut (or got hit?) and both of them were now side by side into the last 30 seconds. They both turned 4.31-4.33 laps with Lasse a car length ahead in the lead.

20 second before the end Marcus feel out in the donut and Lasse were now alone in the lead to the end.
