Our
second generation of Bengali Muslims living in different countries of the West
are suffering from certain amount of identity crisis. Our young generation those
born in the West can't speak Bengali, never visited Bangladesh and know almost
nothing about the history and spirit of the Liberation War of Bangladesh, which
is the most glorious achievement of Bengali Nation. At the same time these Muslim
youths of Europe and North America can't identify themselves with mainstream
people, main cause of ethnic differences and also facing discrimination in scion-economic
life.
The leaders of Jamate Islami of Bangladesh and their Wahabi counterparts from
Pakistan, Meddle Eastern and North African countries often visit Europe and
North America and address young Muslims. Taking advantages of their identity
crisis these Jehadi Leaders try to brainwash them by saying Islam is their only
identity and west is the enemy of Islam. The Wahabi leaders arrange meetings
in th Mosques or any auditorium call upon the young Muslims of the west to join
Jehad in order to establish supremacy of Allah almighty and Islam. The campaign
hate on a regular basis against democracy, secularism and liberal ideas of the
West.
We have to build up a global network of secular humanists and young Muslims
of the West to fight back Jehadi frenzy and terrorism in the name of Islam.
Those who believe Islam is a faith of peace, tolerance and knowledge they should
come forward to counter Wahabi interpretation of Islam and promote interfaith
dialog in order to create a World of peace and harmony.
We should monitor activities of Jamate Islami in the west and to find out war
criminals of 1971, if there is anyone living in Europe in disguised. We have
to ask the leaders to maintain regular contact with the Governments of Europe
and progressive political parties in order to keep west free from terrorist
dactivities in the name of Islam.
