My observing was done on a roof at Jul's plot, not that ready for use, as can be seen. The purpose was to watch the shadow of the Moon, but the air was not transparent enough. theroof.jpg (192460 bytes)

Amateur astronomy at Drakensberg

I had the opportunity to use a cameradrive (courtesy Hans Kronkvist) to get this nice picture of the Southern Cross and Eta Carinae. Also the Coalsack is prominent. 50 mm @ 1600 ASA & 4 min.

The SMC was an easy object, as well as 47 Tucane. Later also the LMC made us happy. In my telescope, everything was outstanding to observe that night. 50 mm @ 1600 ASA & 4 min. DSCN1348_2.jpg (60044 bytes)
