Phidion was forged in the darkness of Stockholm, Sweden in 2003 — a death metal serpent coiling through the extreme underground since their inception. Drawing venom from the American death metal tradition while threading it with melodic darkness and technical ferocity, the band carved a sound entirely their own.

Their name echoes the ancient serpent — the ouroboros that devours its own tail in eternal cycle — a metaphor for the band's relentless pursuit of sonic extremity.
