INTERVIEWS

Interview by Robex Lundgren musikblogg (December 2019)

Have any of you played in other bands?
We have all played in other bands before. Some of us have multiple bands now as well. Our drummer Peter is currently also playing in Bloodofjupiter, Oliver is doing some guest vocals for Hostile Reaction, Olof is in Effess and Fredrik has Talion and Obrero.

What are your names? / Who plays what?
Since our last interview there have been some changes in the band. We got a new bass player, a new drummer and our first bass player was asked to rejoin as a guitarist. The current line up is: Christos – guitars, Fredrik – guitars, Oliver – vocals, Peter – drums and Olof on bass.

Have you had other previous members?
There’s been lots of changes during the 16 years that we have been active. It’s the nature of things, people get bored, lack of time, work and just life getting in the way.

Where are you from?
Stockholm, Sweden

What year did the band form?
We formed in late 2003 and started writing songs and rehearsing half a year later.

What's your style of genre?
We play death metal with thrash metal influences. Think old Morbid Angel and Vader. Lots of tremolo picking.

What inspires you?
For lyrics, everyday life in general.

What are your songs about?
Life, death and we use a lot of metaphores in our way of presenting the lyrics.

Who does the composing and writes the lyrics?
Oliver writes all the lyrics and the rest of us write the music. We all have very different writing styles which makes for a unique sound.

Have you done any covers live?
We used to do ”Milk” by S.O.D. with our former drummer and we have played ”Before the Creation of Time” by Unleashed once. Otherwise, we don’t play any covers since 2014. We have enough own songs but we might do one in the future.

What are the least and most people to attend one of your gigs?
Least 1-2, most 200-300.

Do you always play the same songs live, or do you vary?
We pick out a different setlist for every gig, depending on how much stage time we get.

Do you have a regular place you play live often?
Not since Copperfields in Stockholm decided to end their business relation with the best damn concert arranger in Sweden.

What was your first gig like?
It was hot, sweaty and lots of old friends in the very small basement of Brother Tuck. The arranger was a greedy prick who screwed us over with the tickets sales.

What was your latest gig?
It was hot, sweaty and lots of new friends in the very small Jakobs kök & bar in Jakobsberg. The arrangers, Fredagsmangel, are great guys and I recommend bands to contact them for gigs in the northern suburb Jakobsberg of Stockholm.

Where have you played live this year?
We managed to play one gig each at Copperfields and L’orient before they stopped with live bands and also at the newly started Fredagsmangel at Jakobs kök & bar. But the gig that sticks out in particular is the one we played in Dubai.

Do you have any new material?
We have enough material to record an EP with two new songs and two old songs and enough songs for a full theme album.

What are your web sites?
We have a homepage, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, BandCamp and Spotify.
