On saturday started the G-7 main class. Looking at the massive
starting field of 47 cars one of the drivers wisely said -"This is a
lot of money".

We had expected a lot of fast times in qualifying but during
the first 44 drivers just a few went below 1.6. Then, as the 45:th to
qualify, Gugu went out and turned an incredible 1.503 lap.
In the bye round Bill Skinner made a good attempt but 1.55 and 1.54 was
his best.
Gugu changed motor to the bye round and thought that it would be even
faster but not. Still, his bye round lap times was faster than anyone
else with 1.524 and 1.526.
The 16:th and last to move directly to quarter finals had
1.619.
The rest of saturday saw the consys and the quarter finals.
A lot of well known drivers were found down in the consys. Jari
Porttinen and Mikael Silén both drove their way into the main
from the consis.
Six drivers among the top 16 came from consis.
