Game Boy Demospotting is an online archive of software demos written for the handheld video game console known as the Game boy. These "demos" have been created by enthusiast programmers, artists, and musicians for more than two decades.

The first Game Boy was released in 1989, but the earliest known homemade software which qualifes as demo was made in 1996. There was a surge in releases around the year 2000, but still today (2017) there are few new demos being made each year.

A catalog of demos are found on the demos section. You can also find demos by author on the people and groups sections.

This website used to be interactive with the possibility to post comments to demos. Due to a lack of interest in keeping the php code up-to-date, the site is now static. It will still be updated with new demos whenever they are released.
