Visual Artist and Researcher, Marco Muñoz Tepez obtained a Doctor's
Degree in Digital Representation at Valand
Academy, in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the dissertation: Infrafaces: Essays on the Artistic Interaction.
Born in Mexico City where he completed his education in Visual Communication
at the National Academy of Arts. Marco Muñoz Tepez experiments and
researches on Interactive Art/Media and on the Cultural impact of technology.
Currently Tepez is conducting a research on the new technologies implemented at the borders to control migration.
Marco Muñoz Tepez works as a thesis supervisor and portfolio mentor.
Interactive media art seeks to actively involve the audience to expand the boundaries of the concept of the artwork. By means of artistic experimentation, through video, installations or the design of interfaces, this practice aims to encourage a different understanding of our environment by means of interaction.
