Billy "Curly" Barrix
(born June 5, 1937 in Tennessee, † February 22, 2013) was an American rockabilly and country musician. Barrix began his career in 1957 at Chess Records in Chicago. There appeared his title Cool Off Baby, a title that was strongly based on Elvis Presley's baby, Let's Play House. Only a new text written Barrix together with a friend. During the 1960s, Barrix played several country records on various labels under the name "Curly Barrix". In 1971 he worked as a DJ in Chicago, before moving to Nashville to work again as a country musician.
